Albertina Kassoma from Angola sustained an injury and was seemingly in pain when Brazil's Tamires Morena picked her up and took her to the side of the court where she received treatment. Brazil defeated Angola for a place in the quarterfinal.
In a heartfelt gesture, Brazil handball player Tamires Morena was seen lifting up Angola's Albertina Kassoma and taking her for medical attention after she suffered an injury during the women's handball match at the Paris Olympics 2024. Kassoma was seen struggling to stand on her after the injury during the match and she initially stood with the help of a support staff and Brazil's Gabi Moreschi. However, Morena came walking up to her and picked the injured Angola player up before carrying her to the side of the handball court, where she received treatment. Morena's brilliant gesture drew applause from the crowd, which had gathered to watch the match.
