Thulasimathi Murugesan continued her fine form at the Paris Paralympics 2024 as she started her singles campaign with a win as well on August 29. The para-shuttler outclassed Italy's Rosa De Marco 21-9, 21-11 in a one-sided contest to register a winning start in the women's singles SU5 group A. Murugesan, earlier in the day, had starred alongside Nitesh Kumar in a spectacular win over Indian compatriots Suhas Yathiraj and Palak Kohli in a group A match in the mixed-doubles SL3-SU5 category.
