Para-shuttlers Sukant Kadam and Suhas Yathiraj registered group stage wins at Paris Paralympics 2024 on August 29. Kadam registered a 17-21, 21-15, 22-20 win over Malaysia’s Mohammed Amin Burhanuddin while Yathiraj got the better of Indonesia's Hikmat Ramdani 21-7, 21-5. These victories will give both the para-badminton players a lot of confidence ahead of the upcoming group stage contests. Yathiraj earlier had lost his mixed doubles match against Palak Kohli to compatriots Nitesh Kumar and Thulasimathi Murugesan.
