Nitesh Kumar won the gold medal in the Men's Singles SL3 para-badminton event at the Paris Paralympics 2024. The 29-year-old put up a sensational performance in the final against Great Britain's Daniel Bethell, beating him 21-14, 18-21 and 23-21. Nitesh Kumar won the first game 21-14, on the back of a superb performance. The Indian was impressive in the second game as well but Daniel Bethell fought back and did not make it easy. The Great Britain para-shuttler held his nerve to win the second game 21-18. The contest then headed to the third game which Nitesh Kumar won.
