Lakshya Sen agonisingly missed out on a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics 2024 after he lost to Malaysia's Lee Zii Jia in a highly entertaining contest on Monday, August 5. The Indian shuttler lost the match 21-13, 16-21 and 11-21. Lakshya Sen won the first game comprehensively but lost the second match 21-16, which was a keenly-contested affair. After losing the first game, the Malaysian made a remarkable comeback to win the remaining two games and win the bronze medal. With this loss, India's campaign in badminton came to an end at the Paris Olympics 2024. Lakshya Sen had earlier lost to Denmark's Viktor Axelsen in the semifinals a day ago.
