A heartbreaking loss for India in the Men's Badminton Event final against China as they lost 3-2 and had to settle with the silver medal. HS Prannoy's absence ended up as a big factor for India who had to field inexperienced Mithun Manjunath in place of him. India went ahead to a 2-0 lead after Lakshya Sen and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty won their respective matches. But India lost their last three matches including the one of veteran campaigner Kidambi Srikanth. Dhruv Kapila-Sai Pratheek and Mithun Manjunath failed to put up any fight. This is India's first silver medal in team event at the Asian Games.
