Amit Kumar Wins Historic Silver Medal for India in 10,000m Race Walk at World Athletics U20 Championships

This is India's first medal in race walking and the second in the ongoing championships after the mixed relay team won bronze a few days ago. The 17-year old had earlier set a national U20 record timing of 40 minutes, 40:97 seconds in 10km race earlier this year.

Amit Kumar, on Saturday, won a historic silver medal for India at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Nairobi, Kenya. He led for most of the 10,000m race and finished second, clocking 42 minutes and 17.94 seconds.
