Aman Sehrawat won the bronze medal in the men's 57kg wrestling event at Paris Olympics 2024 on Friday, August 9. The Indian grappler thus won India's fifth bronze medal at the Paris Olympics 2024 and sixth overall. He also became the first Indian wrestler to win a medal at Paris Olympics 2024, with Vinesh Phogat earlier being disqualified from the women's 50kg final because of her being overweight by just 100 grams. The Indian grappler had beaten North Macedonia's Vladimir Egorov in the round of 16 before beating Albania's Zelimkhan Abakarov in the quarterfinals. However, Sehrawat could not get past Japan's Rei Higuchi in the semifinal with the Japanese winning the bout.
