India's Ajay Kumar Saroj and Avinash Sable won the silver and bronze medals respectively at the Asian Games 2023 on Sunday, October 1. The duo bagged the second and third spots with timings of 3:38.94 and 3:39.74 respectively. This was notably India's fourth and fifth medals in track and field athletics of the day after gold won by Avinash Sable (men's 3000m steeplechase) and Tajinderpal Singh Toor (men's shot put).
