In front of a crowded house at the Fuyang Yinhu Sports Centre, the Indian shooters outperformed the host China, placed second (1763), by six points. Aishwary, Swapnil each shot 591, while Akhil managed 587. The third-place finisher was South Korea (1748).
Indian shooters Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, Swapnil Kusale, and Akhil Sheoran won gold in the men's rifle 3 Positions team competition. In the video, the team was awarded with their gold medals as they faced the Indian Flag and sang the National Anthem proudly and made the Nation proud on the international stage. In addition to winning the gold medal, the Indian shooters set a new world record by scoring a total of 1769 points, which is eight more than the previous mark achieved by the United States in 2022 at the CAT championships in Peru.
