Aditi Ashok Becomes First Indian Woman To Win Medal in Golf at Asian Games, Achieves Feat With Silver in Hangzhou

The 25-year-old had a solid performance in this event which she led for a while. But she did not have a great outing on the final day which saw her settle for the silver medal in this event. She nonetheless created history with this medal.

Aditi Ashok created history by becoming the first-ever woman golfer to win a medal at the Asian Games, with her silver in the women's individual event in Hangzhou on October 1. The 25-year-old settled for the silver medal as she finished the competition with a score of 17 under par. Arpichaya Yubol from Thailand won the gold medal in this event. This was India's first medal in golf at Asian Games 2023 and 39th overall.
