Multiple videos going viral on social media show people using the New York-Dublin Portal called "The Portal" to connect with people in the two cities. The Portal, a live portal between New York, United States and Dublin, Ireland, is a visual bridge that connects New York City to Dublin. The Portal was unveiled in New York on Thursday, May 9, in New York City's Flatiron neighbourhood. The "The Portal" sculpture notably showed a real-time, visual live stream connecting New York City to Dublin. A user who used the unique portal in NYC said he had fun playing rock, paper, scissors with strangers across the globe. "Our reality is becoming a Black Mirror episode," he said. However, the portal is reportedly shut down temporarily. The development comes after OnlyFans model Ava Louise allegedly caused a significant stir by flashing during a live broadcast from New York to Dublin. Post this, the portal organizers and officials scrambled to implement technical fixes to curb such incidents. It is reported that "The Portal" was used to show pornographic images and 9/11 photos, among other things. While Ava Louise has attributed the shutdown to her actions, the portal organizers have cited a "technical glitch" for the same. They also assured people that measures are in place to maintain a 24/7 active live stream. US Shocker: Woman Caught on Camera Poisoning Husband’s Coffee With Bleach, Strikes Plea Deal to Avoid Prison.
