In a daring rescue operation, a team of State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) jawans and a police personnel bravely saved a Kanwariya from drowning in the Ganga River in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. SDRF officials Shubham, Asif and a cop named Sunny Kumar performed the life-saving rescue operation in Uttarakhand. A terrifying video of the official rushing to rescue the pilgrim in the strong currents  of Ganga river has gone viral on social media. Every year, thousands of devotees take part in an annual pilgrimage called Kanwar Yatra, where devotees of Shiva embark on a journey to Hindu pilgrimage sites across India.
