A dramatic spectacle unfolded in Zone 8 of Ranthambore National Park as a tiger skillfully hunted a deer, capturing the essence of the wild. Captured during the afternoon safari on July 21, a video of the hunt has been posted on social media, showing the tiger dragging the deer carcass by its antlers. Known for its dense forests and diverse wildlife, Ranthambore provided a fitting backdrop for this raw display of nature. Reportedly, Ranthambore is known for its Bengal tiger population. However, there has been a decline in numbers due to poaching and other reasons. In 2022, there was a total of 80 tigers in the park. The thrilling hunt of the deer underscores the vital role of the tigers in maintaining the ecological balance, showcasing the predator-prey dynamics.
