A terminally ill cancer patient, Scott Hollingshed, shared a final message on social media before his death by voluntary assisted dying under Australia’s euthanasia laws. Scott is a 58-year-old resident of NSW's Central Coast. He has been sharing his journey with lung cancer on Facebook. He was only diagnosed in June, but the cancer had advanced to stage four. This left him with no hope for a cure. Even though Scott mentioned that he is scared to end his life, he said that he finds comfort in having loving people by his side. He wanted to express his gratitude to everyone who supported him by sharing this final moment as he participated in NSW's voluntary assisted dying under Australia’s euthanasia laws.
