Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has crafted a mesmerising sand art marking the festival of Niladri Bije on the shores of Puri beach in Odisha. Niladri Bije, falling on July 19, is an auspicious festival that marks the culmination of the annual journey of the deities – Lord Jagannath and his siblings Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra. This auspicious occasion, also known as Rasagola Dibasa, signifies the return of the deities to the sanctum sanctorum of the Jagannath Temple after their sojourn to the Gundicha Temple and the subsequent Bahuda Yatra. The beautiful handcraft by Sudarsan Pattnaik adds a finishing touch to Niladri Bije, providing warm greetings to its spectators and devotees.
