A Brazilian priest staged a unique stunt in order to raise money for a chapel for truckers in his highway parish. Named Father Adelir Antonio de Carli, he floated over the ocean by tying himself up to 1,000 helium-filled balloons. However, he soon disappeared and his body was later discovered off the coast of southeastern Brazil. The incident took place in 2008 and a video of his attempt to fly has been shared on X.
