Officers tried to enter the house's front entrance as they arrived there, but it was barred. Using a ladder, they climbed through the window and discovered the woman wearing a metal dog chain around her neck and a Masterlock on it. They said that the chain was screwed and bolted to the floor. According to the police, they released the woman after finding a hatchet in the house. The video shows them using bolt cutters to free her neck. A suspect, Moises May, was detained two days after the event and charged with kidnapping, reckless endangerment, assault, terroristic threatening, and harassment.
