She is now the youngest Indian girl to scale Mount Everest and the second youngest girl in the world to reach the summit from the Nepal side. Kaamya, with her father, Commander S. Karthikeyan of the Indian Navy, reached the summit on May 20, 2024. They started their journey from Nepal's Kathmandu on April 6, embarking on a seven-week expedition to conquer Mount Everest. Her remarkable achievements have earned her the highest civilian award for individuals under 18 in India.
