In honour of Pride Month, search engine giant Google celebrates Jeanne Córdova, a Mexican-American activist who believed in women's rights and was a writer, with a doodle. This Doodle is visible in the United States, Mexico, Ireland, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Jeanne was a leader who fought for the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people. The doodle has been made on the same day that Jeanne won an important award for her book When We Were Outlaws: A Memoir of Love and Revolution in 2012. Jeanne even became the leader of a lesbian rights group in Los Angeles and helped organise a big conference for lesbians on the West Coast.
