An Indian-origin doctor was sacked by the Royal Bahrain Hospital after allegedly posting anti-Palestine tweets on his social media account. In a series of tweets on X, Dr Sunil Rao stated his support for Israel, whose efforts to smash the Hamas group have resulted in a humanitarian disaster in Gaza. His pro-Israel remarks came at a time when Israel's retaliation strike against Hamas had killed over 3,000 civilians in Gaza. "It has come to our attention that Dr Sunil Rao, who is working as a specialist in internal medicine, has posted tweets that are offensive to our society. We would like to confirm that his tweets and ideology are personal and do not reflect the opinion and values of the hospital", the Royal Bahrain Hospital said in a recent tweet announcing the termination of Dr Rao. ‘No Wonder Why Hitler Wanted to Get Rid of Them”: Citibank’s Female Employee Fired Over Anti-Israel Post.
