The Mumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) Undertaking announced on Tuesday that the city's recognisable red double-decker buses would be removed from the streets this week. Additionally, in the first week of October, the open-top double-decker buses will also vanish from the city. Only seven double-decker buses, including three open-deck buses, are still in the BEST fleet, according to a representative for the company. Meanwhile, as Mumbai bids Adieu to its iconic red double-decker buses, the video of last diesel-run Double Decker Bus from Marol Depot ending its journey on Friday surfaced online, and has now gone viral on social media.
