A British man's jet-powered remote-controlled automobile set a Guinness World Record for speed on its first attempt. But after three attempts, the automobile blew up. The fastest speed attained by an RC jet-powered car is now a Guinness World Record held by James Whomsley from the UK, who is well-known for his "backyard aerospace engineering" YouTube channel ProjectAir.
