But it wasn't just the two actors who grabbed attention—Peggy, a five-year-old Pugese, also became a sensation. Peggy, known as Dogpool in the film, first became famous in 2023 when she won the title of ‘ugliest dog in Britain.’ She became famous for her ugliness. She was then cast as Dogpool in Deadpool & Wolverine and she appears along with the lead actors Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Peggy, a mix of Pug and Chinese Crested, quickly went viral as photos and videos of her in character spread across social media. Dogpool even appeared in costume for the film's promotions.
