An Indian startup, DotPe, seems to be facing a significant security breach. According to a post by a social media user on the platform X, it states that DotPe, the company that raised USD 100 million to build POS (point of sales systems) for restaurants, API has been made fully public. This security breach allows anyone to access sensitive information without any need for authentication. The post also states that one clever hacker managed to find out the most ordered items at 'Social' restaurants across India. According to the post, Banarasi Patiala with vodka and fully loaded nachos seem to be favourites. It further adds that the hacker placed orders for these food items for an unsuspecting customer who was seated nearby.
