New-Born Armadillo Pup Named 'Segway' at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (WATCH VIDEO)

An armadillo pup who was born to parents Vespa and Scooter at the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium has been named Segway by the Zoo authorities. In the video shared by the US zoo, the one-month-old pup can be seen moving on a blanket.

A one-month-old Southern three-banded Armadillo Pup which was born at a zoo in Washington State last month now has a name: Segway. The pup was born to parents Vespa and Scooter and has been named Segway by the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium. The small female armadillo is about the size of a softball, weighing 14 ounces. Southern three-banded armadillos are native to the southern interior of South America. The species is recorded as near threatened by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
