Indian fans of the British rock band Coldplay were excited when they announced the band would be performing in India in January 2025. Tickets for the Coldplay India concert went live on September 22 and sold out within the first few hours itself. However, soon there were allegations of ticket fraud and black marketing. It was alleged that tickets were being sold through the black market and various unauthorised websites for much higher prices. The Mumbai police summoned even BookMyShow’s CEO, Ashish Hemrajani and the technical head to investigate the allegations. Amid the several controversies, fans began to speculate if the Coldplay India shows have been cancelled. However, there is no official confirmation of the show being cancelled.
