International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, also known as World Drug Day or Anti-Drug Day, is celebrated every year on June 26. This year again, we celebrate International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2024, or World Drug Day 2024, on June 26, a Wednesday. The day, started by the United Nations General Assembly in 1987, aims to raise awareness about the ill effects and severe consequences of consuming drugs and their illicit trafficking. The main goal of the day is to make our world free from drugs. Drug abuse is an international issue. It not only destroys lives but communities and economies as well. World Drug Day attempts to highlight these issues and address the challenges.
