Swami Samarth Prakat Din 2021 is celebrated today aka April 14. Swami Samarth Maharaj aka Swami of Akkalkot became a great saint in the Datta sect from 1856 to 1878 at Akkalkot in Maharashtra in the 19th century. According to mythology, Shri Dattatraya is the third incarnation after Shripad Vallabh and Nrusinhasaraswati. It is said that Swami Samarth appeared from the Kardali forest near the Shri Shailam area in Andhra Pradesh. He came to Akkalkot in 1856, so Akkalkot became a pilgrimage site.
