The annual Pandharpur Wari or Yatra to the famous Vithoba Temple at Pandharpur in Maharashtra involves carrying the paduka of a saint in a palkhi. Most notably of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram, from their respective shrines to Pandharpur. This year the Pandharpur Yatra Palki of Tukaram Maharaj from Dehu, Pune will start on Monday 20th June and Sant Dnyaneshwar Palkhi from Alandi will begin on Tuesday 21st June.
