Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi, is a major festival celebrated by Hindus across the globe. It is celebrated in a major way in Maharashtra. Ganesh Chaturthi 2024 will begin on September 7. The ten-day-long Ganeshotsav festivities take place in Maharashtra until Anant Chaturdashi. The Hindu festival marks the birth anniversary of Lord Ganesha. During the festival, Lord Ganesha’s idol is brought to several temples and pandals across the country. Devotees visit the idol for prayers, blessings and mukh darshan. The Ganesh Galli Ganpati, also known as Ganesh Galli Cha Raja, or Mumbai Cha Raja, is located near Lal Baug in Mumbai and is one of the most popular Lord Ganesha idols.
