Navratri's nine-day Hindu festival began today, October 15, with much fervour and gaiety across the country. On the first day of Navratri 2023, devotees across the country thronged to temples to offer prayers and seek divine blessings. The Shardiya Navratri festival is dedicated to Goddess Durga and her nine avatars, and today marks the first day of the festival. Besides visiting temples, devotees will also follow the tradition of watching Ramlila performances. Ramlila is a significant tradition which shows the re-enactment of the episodes depicted in the Ramayana of Lord Rama's life. Every year, Ayodhya ki Ramleela re-enact Lord Rama’s journey with a powerful and mesmerising performance by artists.
