Sharad Pawar Suggested President's Rule in State After Maharashtra Assembly Election 2019: Devendra Fadnavis Drops Bombshell
While the ruling BJP-Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde)-NCP (Ajit Pawar) and opposition parties are aiming guns and bazookas at each other over Maharashtra hospital deaths, Devendra Fadnavis has come up with a blast from the past.
The blame game in Maharashtra politics does not seem to die down. While the ruling BJP-Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde)-NCP (Ajit Pawar) and opposition parties are aiming guns and bazookas at each other over Maharashtra hospital deaths, Devendra Fadnavis has come up with a blast from the past. Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday asserted that it was NCP Chief Sharad Pawar who had floated the idea of imposing President's rule in Maharashtra following the stalemate after the 2019 state assembly election. Fadnavis said Pawar had approached the BJP and suggested a tie-up between his NCP and the BJP in order to form a government after Uddhav Thackeray broke ranks with the saffron party. According to Fadnavis, Pawar suggested that the President’s Rule be briefly imposed in the state so that he could tour the state and inform the party cadre about joining hands with the BJP. However, senior Pawar backed out from the arrangement, Fadnavis added. Sharad Pawar Has Put Supriya Sule in Forefront To Transfer His Legacy, He Is Driver of Opposition Unity, Says Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis.
