Several voters who went to cast their votes for the Sambhal Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh today, May 7, alleged that they were being turned away from the polling booth by police officials. A video going viral on social media shows several women voters alleging that they were turned away from the polling booth after being told that their Aadhaar card was fake. In another video, voters in Sambhal accused the police of tearing the ID proofs of Muslim voters. It must be noted that the Sambhal seat in Uttar Pradesh is still said to be on top in the entire state regarding election percentage.
