A clash broke out between Congress and BJP workers during voting for the fifth phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 in Maharashtra. According to news agency ANI, the clash erupted in Little Angel School located in Sion area of Mumbai. BJP workers claimed they were giving voters voting slips 100 meters away from the polling centre. However, Congress officials accused BJP workers of interfering in the voting process by going near the polling centre. After this, Congress and BJP workers came face to face. BJP also claimed that the Congress threatened to kill two people. Acting on the complaint of a BJP worker, the Sion police registered a case against two unknown people under section 506(2) of IPC.
