BJP MLA from Goshamahal, Raja Singh, who was en route to the violence-affected Medak town to meet party workers, has reportedly been detained by Telangana police on Sunday, June 16. The BJP MLA was detained by Telangana police at Shamshabad Airport upon his arrival in Hyderabad from Mumbai. He later took to X (formerly twitter) and shared the news of his detention. Earlier in the day, members of two communities clashed in Medak over alleged illegal transportation of cows. Notably, Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) has been implemented in the area following the communal clashes.
