The Congress party on Monday named MLA Pradnya Rajeev Satav as its candidate for the upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Council Election 2024. Satav (48) is the wife of the late senior Congress leader Rajeev Satav, who passed away in May 2021 due to COVID-19 complications. Currently serving as vice President in the state Congress, Satav contested a by-election in September 2021 and was elected unopposed to the Legislative Council. The MLC elections in Maharashtra are slated for July 12. After voting on all the 11 seats on July 12, the results will be declared on the same day in the evening.
