The assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be held in three phases on September 18, September 25 and October 01. The Election Commission (EC) announced the schedule on Friday, August 16. According to the schedule, counting of votes will take place on October 04. There are 90 assembly seats in the union territory. Jammu and Kashmir will witness elections after a gap of ten years as the last assembly election was held in 2014.
