Trinamool Congress candidate Sayani Ghosh is leading from the Jadavpur Lok Sabha constituency in West Bengal by over 1,50,000 votes. She has bagged 4,55,026 votes and BJP candidate Anirban Ganguly has so far bagged 2,97,460 votes, according to Election Commission of India website. On 18th February 2015, the actress tweeted a picture wherein a female character was seen putting a condom over the sacred Hindu symbol of a Shivling. Jadavpur is one of the 42 Lok Sabha constituencies in West Bengal. The constituency went to polls on June 1 in the seventh phase of the 18th Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
