The incident occurred on Monday, May 7, as Ghosh was en route to a polling station following complaints of booth jamming. Protesters allegedly vandalized vehicles and pelted stones, resulting in injuries to a man. Prior to this, a clash had erupted between BJP and Trinamool Congress workers in the area.
