During the ongoing phase four of Lok Sabha elections across the country, the convoy of BJP candidate Dilip Ghosh from the Durgapur constituency came under attack in the Manteswar area of Bardhaman. According to reports, TMC supporters surrounded the BJP leader's vehicle and shouted slogans. The incident occurred on Monday, May 7, as Ghosh was en route to a polling station following complaints of booth jamming. Protesters allegedly vandalized vehicles and pelted stones, resulting in injuries to a man.
