The Election Commission announced the schedule of elections to Legislative Assemblies of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Rajasthan and Telangana today, October 9, in Delhi. As per the announcement made by Rajiv Kumar, Chief Election Commissioner, elections for Mizoram will be held on November 7, Chhattisgarh on November 7 and 17, Madhya Pradesh on November 17, Rajasthan on November 23, and Telangana on November 30. The results of the five states will be declared on December 3. CEC Rajiv Kumar also said the total number of voters in Mizoram is 8.52 lakh, 2.03 crore in Chhattisgarh, 5.6 crore in Madhya Pradesh, 5.25 crore in Rajasthan and 3.17 crore in Telangana. The term of the Mizoram assembly will end on Dec 17, while the Chhattisgarh assembly's term will end on January 3. Similarly, the term of the Madhya Pradesh assembly will end on January 6, Rajasthan on January 14 and Telangana on January 16, respectively.
