Congress leader Aba Bagul today, October 30, said that he would be contesting the Maharashtra assembly elections 2024 as an independent candidate from the Parvati Assembly constituency. Speaking to news agency ANI, Aba Bagul said that he decided to contest the elections as an independent candidate from the Parvati Assembly constituency. "I spoke to Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, and Congress observers Ramesh Chennithala, Nana Patole, Balasaheb Thorat and they assured me of a ticket from the Parvati Assembly constituency, but they gave the ticket to the NCP(SCP) candidate." He also said that earlier, there used to be an alliance between the Congress and NCP (SCP) only, but now, to form the government in Maharashtra, they have forged an alliance with Shiv Sena (UBT), due to which the seats for the Congress party to contest the elections are reducing. The Parvati assembly seat will see sitting MLA Madhuri Misal face NCP (SP) leader Ashwini Kadam. Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024: BJP To Fight 148 Seats, Congress on 103 for State Polls.
