Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud, on Wednesday, January 3, warned a lawyer not to raise his pitch while arguing in the Supreme Court. "Where do you normally practice? You cannot browbeat us by raising your voice...this has not happened in 23 years of my career and it will not happen in my last year. Lower your pitch," CJI DY Chandrachud told the lawyer.
