On Monday, members of the South Kolkata District Congress demonstrated against the spread of dengue fever in a unique fashion by covering themselves with mosquito nets. The leaders were seen walking with posters inside nets with mosquito posters on them, screaming anti-Kolkata Corporation chants, according to a video posted by news agency ANI. "Dengue and other diseases have taken a grave situation. This needs an action plan and the Kolkata corporation has no action plan. That's why we have come in protest. Congress as a party feels for the common man. Why was there no control when the phase started?.. Where are the people who are going to spray the mosquito repellant?... It is a fact that the state government should take full responsibility" said West Bengal Pradesh Congress General Secretary Ashutosh Chatterjee during the protest. Dengue Cases Surge in Delhi: CM Arvind Kejriwal Chairs Meeting on Combating Dengue, Other Vector-Borne Diseases in National Capital.
