A 56-year-old man, Lakshman Singh Negi, was attacked by a leopard in Jakhi village of Uttarakhand’s Tehri. The terrifying incident, captured on video, shows Negi severely injured and the leopard lying dead nearby. According to reports Negi defended himself by grabbing the already injured leopard around its throat. The leopard, with a wire stuck in its neck and a badly injured leg, died shortly after the confrontation. Negi sustained brutal injuries to his hand. Reports said that Negi was walking from Jakhi to Khumkhu when the leopard, hiding in bushes 50 meters below the old Jakhi road, attacked. Villagers alerted the forest department and Devprayag MLA Vinod Kandhari. Upon arrival, the forest department team found the dead leopard and conducted a postmortem to determine the cause of death, noting the animal’s previous injuries from an iron net. Kirtinagar Range Ranger Buddhi Prakash confirmed the leopard’s old wounds and suggested they might have driven it to attack a human. The postmortem report will clarify the exact cause of death. Man Kills Leopard in Tehri (Disturbing Video)
लक्ष्मण भी बुरी तरह… pic.twitter.com/i11j2wvPCI
