Two brothers, identified as Mohammad Kasim and Mohammad Hashim, were arrested by the Uttar Pradesh Police on August 27 for allegedly building a grave in the premises of a government school in Ashada village, Kaushambi. The school's headmaster, Rajkumar Verma, visited the school on Tuesday after a two-day holiday to find a cement grave built on the school grounds. He informed the local police station of Paschim Sarira. Kamalendra Kushwaha, Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) was also informed, who then inspected the grave and registered a case. Investigations revealed that the brothers had constructed the grave for their dead sister. DSP Abhishek Singh informed that the brothers were arrested under the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984, and that other necessary legal action was also being taken.
