The incident occurred in the Gosaiganj police station area near Lucknow, reportedly after a tyre burst set off the blaze. Passengers, along with the driver and conductor, managed to flee the bus just in time, saving themselves from the inferno. A video circulating on social media captures the intense scene, showing flames consuming the bus as thick smoke billows into the sky. The bus was en route from Delhi to Azamgarh when the accident unfolded.
