In Uttar Pradesh, a 50-year-old man named Lallu Chaubey from Lalitpur was rescued after being kidnapped in a honeytrap scheme. Chaubey was held hostage in Jhansi since Thursday, with his captors demanding a ransom of INR 3 lakh. His son reported the incident to the police, mentioning a ransom call had been received, and INR 1 lakh had already been paid. Police set up multiple teams to locate Chaubey, with one constable posing as his son to deliver the ransom. The constable was led to the location where Chaubey was held, enabling officers to intervene and rescue him. Three suspects, including a woman named Kiran (35), along with Akhilesh Ahirwar (30) and Satish Singh Bundela (27), were arrested. The gang allegedly used women to lure victims to Jhansi, where they would then be kidnapped for ransom. Police investigations into other possible accomplices are ongoing. Kanpur: Lineman Falls from Pole After Sudden Electricity Surge While Making Repairs, Dies; Disturbing Video Surfaces.
