Indian Railways announced on October 17 that the advance reservation period for train tickets will be reduced from 120 days to 60 days, effective November 1, 2024. The decision, communicated through a circular from the Railway Board, maintains that existing bookings made prior to this date under the 120-day advance reservation period will remain valid. While cancellations for bookings made beyond the new 60-day limit will still be allowed, the advance reservation limits for certain daytime express trains, such as the Taj Express and Gomti Express, will remain unchanged. Additionally, foreign tourists will retain the option to book tickets 365 days in advance. Indian Railways Increases the Limit of Online Booking of Tickets Through IRCTC, Here’s How to Create Account And Book Train Tickets Online.
